Dajti Ekspres price

The operator doesn’t publish its fares online and sells tickets only at the lower station, so the exact price can move a little. In 2026, visitors are paying roughly 1,400–1,500 ALL for an adult return. There are cheaper one-way tickets, child prices, and combination tickets that add the adventure park or mini golf at the top. Cards are generally accepted.

Opening hours and the Tuesday trap

The cable car runs six days a week and is closed on Tuesdays for maintenance, unless it’s a public holiday. The cable car can also stop running in strong wind or storms, and hours change between summer and winter; the official site posts updates.

How to get to the Dajti Ekspres station

  • Bus: the blue city bus to Porcelan (line 11) leaves from behind the Palace of Culture near Skanderbeg Square, costs 40 ALL, and drops you a short walk away from the station. This bus runs pretty frequently and is a great way to access the cable car for cheap.
  • Taxi: roughly 15–20 minutes from the center. We recommend asking the price of the cab before getting in.
  • And don’t forget to stop at Bunk’Art 1 on the way! This monumental attraction is a massive nuclear bunker turned into a museum, and it’s just down the road.

What to do at the top

The upper station sits on a plateau on Mount Dajti, with viewpoints, restaurants, an adventure park and mini golf. It’s noticeably cooler than the city, which is the whole point in the summer. If you want to stretch your legs, there are walking trails into Dajti National Park from the top.

Tips

  • Go late afternoon and ride down around sunset for the best light over Tirana.
  • If you’re an adrenaline junkie, you can take a bike to the top of the mountain and bike down at sunset for epic views of the city.
  • Weekends get busy; weekday mornings are quietest.
  • Bring a layer. It can be 8–10°C cooler at the top.
